Christabel was doubtful. She had been coming from Spain on the ship and it had taken three weeks to get to this point, not three days. Three days after setting out from port they had been no more than 500 miles from shore. She didn't bother stating this in words, but she knew that their only chance of surviving or not being picked up by the slaver again was to be spotted and rescued by another ship, and a friendly one this time. After a few minutes she heard Paolo mutter something. "What? What are we missing?" she asked worriedly.

Why he did not realize it until now Paolo will never figure out. All he knew is that they were in peril and if they tried to climb aboard the slave ship again they would die. "I think I just figured out where everyone on the ship is," he said pointing behind Christabel, "the gun deck." If Christabel were to turn around she would find herself staring at a massive navy ship baring its cannons toward the slave ship (slave ship doing the same in return). "Get down!!" shouted Paolo grabbing Christabel and pulling her down. At this exact moment cannons shot off making deafening explosions left and right.

Christabel did turn to look, and was too startled at the realization that there was going to be cannonfire right over their heads to notice that the ship was an enemy of the slave ship, and therefore a good candidate for their rescuer. She flung herself down and stayed hunched at the bottom of the boat to avoid being hit by the cannon balls that were whistling right overhead.
((I'm assuming you have a plan, so I'm not doing much))

((A little one. My book posts don't start until everyone is at the same place on Beckett's ship.))
The explosions seemed to go on for hours and hours. Before long though the cannons ceased and there was silence except for the sound of creaking wood and this weird bubbling noise. Paolo looked over his shoulder to see the slave ship sinking on the spot. "Ahoy down there! Are you friend or foe?!" called a voice. "Friend!" Paolo shouted hastily. There was slight mumbling from guards up above. "Sir please state your name!" shouted the guard. "Paolo Nutini!" "What?!" "Paolo Nutini!" *more mumbling* "Okay, row closer and we'll bring you aboard!" Paolo did as ordered and soon enough they were upon the ship being aided by the guards. They were about to be taken to comfortable rooms when the captain of this ship arrived with two parchments pausing all motion. "Since you were in a row boat apparently you were aboard that slave ship. Care to explain?" asked the captain in a rather bossy way. Paolo did not wait to explain the story at all. "So we were captive aboard that ship and it wasn't until we were in the row boat did I notice what was about to happen." he finished explaining. "Huh, and where are you from?" asked the captain writing on one of his pieces of parchment. "America, why?" "Huh, and you're how old?" "Nineteen, again, why?" "And last name is Nutini correct?" "Uh, yea, yea correct." "Huh," "Huh what?" Paolo finally asked getting annoyed. "Send em to the brig!" shouted the captain and instantly Paolo and Christabel were clapped in irons.

"Wait!" Christabel cried as they were being led out the door. "I will not be treated as an animal! Do you know who I am? I am Christabel de Pucci and I'm completely unaffiliated with this boy except by coincidence. I demand that I be let go!"

"Lady, I don't give a damn who you are. My orders are to take in that boy and anyone who is traveling with him in." replied the captain. "What the hell have I done?!" Paolo demanded his temper rising by the second. "I am just a mere cabin boy!" "You know very well why you're being brought in brat!" shouted the captain. "No I don't!" Paolo said truthfully but no one would listen and he was dragged by at least ten different guards down to a cell. Christabel was treated the same.
((These guys will have to wait until the opportune moment to come in so if can think of anything else until then we need to pause.))

((Well, there's always the simple thing. Sylvia and her gang attack the ship just before Paolo and Christabel are to be killed, she brings them aboard, and everyone comes together!))
