Christabel, evidently in a cell not unlike Paolo's, heard his voice from the other side of the wall and responded quietly so as to not alert any guards. "Yes I'm here. What are we supposed to do?"

"Well," Paolo began, "There isn't much we can do. Not with them leaving the island for who knows where. But if they come for one of us we should make it our top priority to find out as much as possible. Maybe we could use something for leverage." he finished.

"What are you suggesting?" Christabel asked a bit nervously, hearing the conspiratorial note in Paolo's voice. "What do we have that those scoundrels could want enough to let us go?"

---Edited---
There was a long pause from the other room. "I don't know," Paolo finally replied, a tone of nervousness trailed in his tone. "I really have no clue what to do."
It finally reached night and it was silent around the ship. Paolo had been straining his brain the entire day come up with some plan. Nothing came, at all. Though a thought struck him. "Christabel," he whispered urgently. "Did you say your fiance is in Spain?" Paolo was thinking of running off to Spain and try to get back home from there. But first he would need to get out of this room and find a map. And not to mention steal a boat before waking the entire ship up.

“Unfortunately, no,” she replied mournfully. “He is at his plantation on the island of Dominica. I was being shipped to him there like a sold animal when the ship foundered. It has been some days. He will be missing me before long. Why do you ask?” Christabel never was one much for plans, so she was leaving all this to Paolo. That was his job, after all, as her lesser. Right?
((as you can see she’s still spoiled as ever, but beginning to see the light, so to speak. We will be seeing big changes in character ere long.))

Paolo sat against the wall thinking. After hearing Christabel say she ways being shipped to this fellow like a sold animal he really didn't want to seek her fiance's help anymore. They still needed to get off this ship though. "All right, I have a plan. No matter what happens don't scream." he said then got up. He wasted no time and started pounding on the door mercilessly. "Hey!! Hey! Someone out there?! I need assistance!!" he shouted again and again until someone finally opened his door. "What the bloody h----" the guard began to say but never finished as Paolo pounced him like a cat and rung his neck until a noticeable crack was heard. Paolo ransacked his pockets but found nothing useful except for keys and a dagger. Where is everyone? he thought to himself setting out for the captain's quarters. Finally reaching them he found the door unlocked and unoccupied. Paolo found a map and shoved it into his pockets then ran out the door and toward Christabel's room. This was way too easy and Paolo wanted to high jack a boat before something happened. "Come on," he told Christabel opening her door and leading her toward the life boats. "Get in," he instructed cutting the ropes binding the little boat.

christabel listened with wide eyes as Paolo K-Oed the guard and went upstairs. She waited tensely for him to return, expecting to hear gunshots and see a swarm of guards rush into her cell at any moment. Finally Paolo came back for her, and leaving her cell she did as he instructed, climbing into the small boat they apparently were going to make their escape in. "Where to now? I hope you have a map or we're in no less deep water than we were on the island. And a plan too, I hope."

Paolo started lowering the tiny boat down to sea at a rather quick pace. Once lowered he cut the ropes and started rowing. He still couldn't believe they got out of there so easily. Though was thankful for it. "Yea, I have a map. West toward Spain." he said pointing at the sun. "It's no more than three days away. If I keep rowing at a good pace we should be able to make that. And if we're lucky we'll meet some sort of ship." Paolo finished still rowing. It wasn't till a few minutes later that Paolo finally realized something and he stopped rowing abruptly. "Oh, my god." he whispered.
