"And what offer would that be? I'm not giving you a choice. You obviously chose to work for me because I certainly do not remember choosing you at any time, so don't try to make me the villain of the situation!" Petty little bastard, she muttered, turning away. When he said her name she started to say "You will address me as CAPTAIN!" but her eye caught something behind them. "This better damn well not be the Dutchman," she said to herself.
((this better damn well not be the dutchman. xD))

(( >=) ))
Jemmy ripped a telescope out of a crew member's hand and looked at the ship carefully. "No it's not the Dutchman. Though, I just saw the captain looking at me." he said pulling the telescope down as a crew member interrupted him. "Sir, another ship approaches." the man said pointing. Jemmy turned seeing the ship and scanned it with the telescope. "That's not the Dutchman either, but they are approaching us as well." Jemmy told Captain Sylvia.

Sylvia took out her own spyglass and examined the pursuers. They couldn't be from that island they'd just been on because these guys looked more civilised than you would expect from a primitive island civilisation, or servants of Cortes. But they had to get them out of the way, whoever they were. "Open the gun ports," she told someone, who hurried off to get to work with the others.

Jemmy scurried off with other crew members to prepare the gun ports.
Both ships came closer and closer until finally both were in fire range of the Victorine. One ship stopped just ahead of the Victorine but the other one opened it's gun ports as well. By now you could this one's marking. 'Battle Snake' was carved in big bold letters with a poorly designed snake beside.
Jemmy came running up on deck to see the Battle Snake pulling up beside. The deck was completely empty expect for a small dirty boy steering the entire ship. Other than that no one else was in sight.
"This is certainly strange," Jemmy said to no one in particular.

Sylvia shrugged. "Give them a few rounds to show them who's boss, and you, get your filthy personage more than ten feet from me," she said to Jemmy with a dusgusted glance.

Jemmy gave Sylvia an evil glare. "Yes, Sylvia." he said purposely to annoy her then walked below deck.
Within minutes the crew of the Victorine started firing on the almost deserted ship Battle Snake. The cannons sent large explosions into the air and smoke started to build. Battle Snake's wood was damaged but not severely. Then there was silence when the crew started reloading as fast as they could but the Battle Snake took this chance. It released it's own deadly cannons ripping the Victorine's wood.
Now the other ship started to close in(who was previously stopped). It pulled on the other side of the Battle Snake putting it in a sandwich. This ship opened it's own cannon ports and sent very deadly cannons shooting out. This ship was large and powerful. Whoever was captain had to be a very strong person.

The Captain jerked out her pistol and aimed it at the kid for a second before "grrr"ing to herself and putting it back. With the second ship squashing the 'Battle Snake between the two of them, obviously she would have to do something more desructive than a few cannonballs. She ran below and unloaded a flail from a chest with her deadliest little bits of ammunition in it. The two cannonballs, connected by a chain, would rip through even the strongest mast and bring the whole thing down, along with any sails attached above the breaking point. She shoved the little sweetheart down the barrel of a gun pointed more or less at the central mast of the Battle Snake, lit the black powder in the end, and sent it flying off at the other ship, which it tore into in a shower of splinters.

The Battle Snake's mast shook and started to lean. Meanwhile the other ship((I'm a going to call it "Birdy")) fired its own deadly cannons at the Battle Snake. All that could be heard was shooting and explosions until the Battle Snake's mast finally went. It crashed neither on the Victorine or Birdy but on its own ship. And then Battle Snake started sinking. Fire from both Victorine and Birdy had taken its tole.
Finally after the shooting had stopped Birdy pulled away and steered over to the other side of the Victorine. Abuse from the fight could also be seen on the this ship. When it came to a halt its gun ports closed and all that remained was an active crew running around.
